Hi,
My name is Terence Ball and I have been teaching for 16 years. I work at a small K-8 school (115 students) in the Bay St. George area of Newfoundland. I teach mainly Grade 6, with a little teaching responsibility at other grade levels. I currently have a Bachelors of Education degree (Elementary) from MUN and I am working towards a Masters of Education (IT) degree from MUN / CBU.
My students and I have a technology enriched classroom. Through BYOT and school owned devices, I have a 1:1 ratio of students to devices in my classroom. These devices are a combination of iPads, desktops, and laptops. My students and I use a wide variety of applications including Google Drive, Moodle, Blogger and Kidblog, as well as many more.
I am the chair of my school’s technology planning committee and am also one of 12 teachers who are associated with the Western School District’s “Learning In Technological Environments” (LITE) project.
I have two children (ages 6 and 10) and a wonderful wife who received her Masters of Education (Leadership) in May of 2013 from MUN.
I am well-organized and I give all things I set my mind to an honest effort. I am looking forward to meeting the goals and expectations of this masters program, and using what I will learn to become a better educator.
